Extreme Hide and Seek

Today I learnt a valuable lesson.  When you are pregnant there are certain things you shouldn't do, ride a horse, ride a bike, drink Margaritas and play an impromptu game of Hide and Seek with your husband.

I got it into my head that a game of Hide and Seek would be awesome.  So I stepped into the downstairs under the stairs cupboard and sat down amongst the boxes of boardgames and books in the dark waiting for my husband to find me.

The one teeny tiny flaw with my plan was I didn't actually inform my husband what I was doing.

So while I was giggling to myself as he was going around the house shutting it up for the night and then trying to find me I'm thinking OMG this is the best idea every.

I hear him looking for me, inside and outside and I'm thinking this is the best prank ever.

Hubby starts to panic thinking OK where is she, everything is here as when I went to the bathroom, but my wife.

Lots of running up and downstairs checking rooms and I'm sitting cross legged on the floor thinking I really really need to pee, and I need to get out of this cupboard so I don't give away my awesome hiding spot.  Minor problem is as I am heavily pregnant I can't actually get up, I'm in the dark, surrounded by boxes trying not to pee myself.

Hubby yells out for me frantically then races upstairs and I hear cupboards opening and closing and it dawns on me, maybe he's not looking for me, maybe he's putting on his clothes to go outside and look for me?

So when I hear him come back downstairs I push open the door and yell "ROAR".

The look on the poor man's face was complete fear/terror and I realize, maybe he doesn't realize this is a little joke, maybe he thinks someone has come into our house and kidnapped me?

Turns out he was racing out the the door to look through the neighbourhood for me and was about to call the cops.

Yep he though someone had come in and stolen his pregnant wife and was absolutely frantic with worry.

He lovingly helped me out of the cupboard so I didn't pee myself but it did take a lot of apologising before he eventually forgave me.

So mental note, when you are pregnant don't play Hide and Seek with your husband, unless he knows you are playing a game of Hide and Seek.

Welcome

Welcome to my world! Its a little bit warped, a little bit pregnant and sometimes just sometimes utterly   hilarious. In real life I'm not as funny as I'm so busy laughing I can't get the words out.  I thought I"d blog as well you can't make up the stuff that I am exposed to on a daily basis and it needs to be spread through the world.  I'm too wordy for Twitter and Facebook can't keep up with my posts.
